Bookhunting

Went bookhunting at Flora Fountain (aka Hutatma Chowk) on Saturday. Here's the score:

  • The Ringed Castle by Dorothy Dunnet
  • King Hereafter by Dorothy Dunnet
  • Little, Big by John Crowley
  • Job : A Comedy of Justice by Robert Heinlein
  • Flowers for Algernon by Daniel Keyes
  • Masters of The Vortex by E.E.'Doc' Smith
  • Shadowfire by Tanith Lee
  • The Adversary by Julian May
  • Ten Dead Admen by Ashok Banker

Several of these were picked up at throwaway prices (like Rs.10 each). Plenty of stuff to read now.

Tweaking

I'm tweaking the template to add styles for EXIF info, and maybe for book titles. This means frequent republishing.

Attack of the photos

I'm going to be posting photos here, from my humble collection. I'm experimenting with different photo-hosting options, so I'll be trying them all out here.
This is one of the first photos I took with my digicam (a Canon PowerShot G3). Came out OK. In future, I'll try to post some of the EXIF info here. The full-size image is here: http://image38.webshots.com/39/0/15/58/333201558VDJMgq_fs.jpg Making this a link does not work. Try pasting it into the address bar.

We wantsss it, preciousss....

Books read...

So, this is supposed to be a booklog , right? Here's what I've read recently:
  • The Confusion by Neal Stephenson. Wow.
  • Ringworld's Children by Larry Niven. Yechh.

Currently reading : The System of the World by Neal Stephenson.
< rant >
Why, in the name of all that is unholy, do booksellers in India get books 1 and 3 in a trilogy, and don't get book 2? I've had to hang on to The System of the World for months before I could get The Confusion. Yeesh.

Back again...

After yet another blogging hiatus. So, what has been happening in my life? Settling down to married life is my major activity these days. Books? What are these "books" you speak of?
